going out for lunch
Today we had lunch with this man named buddy Lewis. Buddy Lewis has written a book about a fictional Native American sent to war and then trying to return to the normalcy of reservation life. We have met with the man twice. The first time we didn’t talk much my boss did most of the talking. Well today we had to go back to take some photos of him for a program we are putting together.
I didn’t like the digital photos now that I am looking at them they suck the flash on oour camera is awful we need a different one.
Everything about that camera is awful.
Hopefully my pics turn out well the ones with the Yashica,,
Well my coworkers and me took him out to lunch today and well I had the chance to sit by him and talk to him. About his time in the navy doing aerial photography and other jobs. Well there came a point in the conversation where one of my coworkers asked if he goes and hangs out with the elders in the community he just shook his head and said not really.
Then I say “you seem the type of fellow that really does his own thing and likes being alone”. He snaps his fingers and says “there you go” and says “you hit it right on the head”. I find that funny that you can tell the type right away especially when you are the same type. He also doesn’t like to go to different restaurants, he goes to this restaurant in laveen all the time called kays kafe. Also frequents Denny’s.
You could tell he is a creature of habit goes to the same places, does what he wants.
I felt bad for him the girls wanted to go someplace different but im sure deep down he wanted to go to his other restaurant, you can tell he feels at home there.
Instead he ended up at Applebee’s.
But he did get his shrimp.
But I think the squealing of girl’s kind of got to him. I’m used to it but he wasn’t you could tell.
For some odd reason I really like talking to him.
he really is a nice guy.
soooo
pictures did not turn out the best
might have to go back rangefinder was off so i think that has something to do with the images. and it was way to bright for images…
wish it was kinda cloudy for the best light.
sucks.
but this is what i got…
just some scans
i thought i was going to die

Im very much a lover of nature, but most of the time I’m content riding my bike around town. our friend Angie asked anyone if they wanted to go hiking in Payson at the Horton Creek Trail well me and Talia decided to go as well as our other friend Talia P and her son Andrew. well the drive was pretty fun nice and cool. though we were a little tired from having to wake up so early.
but we arrived at the campground and gathered all our stuff for the hike.
at first the hike was nice and smooth but later on we were faced with long uphill parts with huge Rocks. we started our hike at about 10 am and got about half way when we decided to eat some lunch and take a breather. i must say that the weather was beautiful and the foliage was breathtaking lots of vibrant reds and yellows, weather is coming and you could tell. after lunch Talia P was tired from staying up late and Andrew was done for the day and Talia didn’t really want to be tired when we got home so they decided to go back. on the other hand me and Angie decided to venture on we wanted to get to the top of the mountain.
we continued on only to reach lots of rocks and very steep uphill climbs now we were really hiking. i could feel the climb start to take my body, my lungs and legs were feeling the climb to the point i started to mumble and had to stop every 20 feet because i was getting tired.
as i was nearly dying Angie was a good buddy she kept asking if i was ok and if i wanted to go on. i told her yes i wasn’t about to let nature beat me. Despite having to take a break every 20 feet, we met some people coming down and telling us keep going your almost there its right around the corner so that raised our spirits a bit and gave us the last bit of energy we needed to get up to the spring. once at the spring we sat enjoyed the smells and drank the water. it was so cold and refreshing.
we stayed up there for about 30 minutes to catch our breath and relax a bit then we started our walk back down it was fast but tiring i think at this point we just wanted down from the mountain. The rocks also were taking there toll on my ankles. (note) do not wear regular shoes for hiking.
why?
cause my ankles and heel of my feet could feel every single little rocks especially when they hit just right i could feel the pain in my hands.
we finally made it down and took of my shoes and it felt so good to put the dirt inbetween my toes and feel the dirt on my feet. we then decided it was time to head back to town but not first a bite to eat.
afterwards we felt we needed and deserved something good to eat so we hit up the local pizza hut. i love Payson’s pizza hut its in the shape of the old school ones so it totally is fun to sit inside and eat.
this trip was so worth it it was so fun and tiring. would i do it again
YES!.
it rocked.
Angie rocked for asking us to go!
now all i have to deal with is the soreness from the trip.
In rainbows
i got the new download…
i honestly cant believe that they are offering the album up on there website and you choose how much to pay. i think thats a awesome idea its such a radical thing for a band to do. they are not signed to a label so they can do what they want with there music. i love it!
i chose to pay only 2.96… I’m poor and really couldn’t afford to pay so much.
they are also releasing a box set, the box set just sounds completely awesome it comes with the in rainbows CD, a bonus CD from the recording sessions, a vinyl edition of in rainbows contained in two vinyl records, and a hardcover booklet it just sounds so beautiful. the photos look awesome. the download comes with it and at 80 bucks i figure i didnt want to pay double for the music. so it seemed fair to me.
i don’t know
i may be wrong and just plain cheap.
i wonder how much this will change the way music is released. i have never bought music online because i love cd’ s, i love records. the main reason is i love the art. i am kinda upset with myself that i actually paid for music online. but i honestly couldn’t wait. i hope that many people order the record set and that it shows there is a need for cd’s, vinyl, and the art. another thing why i buy cd’ s and vinyl is because i do not like having all my music on a machine that can fail. i love the feeling of knowing i can go buy a cd or a piece of vinyl that will take up more space in my 1 bedroom apartment. there is nothing like it. so if you decided to buy the music online buy the original on cd or vinyl.
as for a review of the music let me listen to it awhile and ill tell you what i think. i love making a cd and throwing on headphones or driving in the car while listening to it in the real world. i think thats the only way to do it honestly.
so i hope you venture over and buy the music…
