so i havent written really anything recently just posting pictures, which i hope that you are looking at. and enjoying. 

i so wanted to see her tonight. sera cahoone i fell in love with her music while looking for something to listen to on my NPR podcast feed. as i told her its hard to get out when you have a 16 month year old who’s bed time is 8:30…

well things are fine as always. im trying to prepare for a weekend trip to mexico on the 3rd of october. im pretty excited i will be heading down to Magdelena de kino. its about 80 kilometers outside of nogalas. im going to go with my mom, brother, sister.  im not catholic but  thought it would be a awesome oppurtunity to go and take some photos. im pretty excited, and looking forward to shooting alot of film.  

people take a pilgrimage to Magdelena to pay homage to Father kino, these people come from all over the US as well as from here in arizona. Father kino died in magdelena so it is something special to make the trek and see father kino’s remains. 

i hope that i come back with some awesome photos. ill be sure to keep you updated on the trip and the photos. i need to get my tribal id and a copy of my birth certificate and maybe a translation book or something. but im excited…well i just thought i would give you all a update…

here some family stuff i was messing with… we went to dinner at my moms while we were down there for voting and to see talia’s aunt who is going to be passing away soon. it was a good night to be with my family and have dinner. we all were tired from the day but the kids kept us going with there laughter and just there craziness. 

here is stuart messing around. i really like these photos of him, showing a side people rarely see. being a clown just like when he was a kid.

ive been playing with works digital camera. its a olympus e-500 camera is ok works alright in the day time, but night shots are pretty impossible.

here is reese looking out the window of the car on the way home from school. i always wondered what he looked like while he sat in the back seat. i can not remember what it was like to be that small and gazing out at the world. one of my favorite shots of him.

all ready to go for a ride. man we always have kids in the back seat these days… all part of becoming a parent i suppose.

and lastly a shot of a woman eating lunch and reading. i really like this shot, its nice seeing someone escaping the real world and getting lost in a book. the place was so busy and loud people talking orders being taken, people eating. the world moving around expect for a woman and a book. 

the only post processing i did to these were brightness and contrast adjustments in photoshop and also the black border… well hope you enjoyed some photos…

so i was going through more stuff and found these…

i just decided to make another post. 

here is a shot from my trip to florida, for some odd reason i thought i uploaded this, i remember scanning it in but i guess i didnt upload it or anything.

im in love with this shot, for whatever reason, we were walking on the upper level of the pier and i looked down and saw them. i liked how they were all sitting there talking, so i snagged a photo. 

we had taken a side trip to the hard rock casino, or hotel i don’t remember, anyways the girls wanted to go there i just jumped in for the ride. though i did manage to get this frame, i thought security was going to stop me but they didn’t. i did lose 5 bucks too. 

they don’t let you take photos here on the reservation casino for whatever reason.

 i really do like this frame. 

all alone in the waiting area, waiting for a flight, tired of flying who knows i just remember him being all solitary. 

i took this the other day, i thought i would include it. me and my coworker were on our way to a meeting. we were stopping to get something to eat. i saw this couple, kissing and hugging, its a little blurry, my window didn’t roll down until the last second and we were going over speed bumps at the time. 

i need to add a black frame around it… it just seems to go all over the place with a white background. 

talia at denny’s eating lunch with friends or breakfast i cant remember. i like this cheap film from frys, sometimes it gives me awesome results other times it sucks, it just depends on the camera and light. 

i remember i thought she looked beautiful that day, she always looks wonderful, but today she was just glowing. so simply elegant in her own way. 

ok this is one of those frames that just rocks, the camera the light, it all works out and gives me frames like this. i used the electro GSN, and that cheap frys ferrania solaris 200 speed film. 

i love this frame of the cat. i love this kitchen window. it gives beautiful shadows during the evening.

chloe waving. the red blanket makes her hair kinda weird but this frame makes me smile. she is so beautiful. she was happy this evening. she was walking all over the place talking to me. 

well thats it from me or until i find some more leftover frames from my rolls. ive been playing with the work digital for a couple days so i might have some stuff to show who knows…

amazing amazing amazing!

no i didnt forget about this blog, ive been lazy and to busy to post. but i finally got some film back from the lab after forgetting to pick it up. these shot are mostly from the night when me and talia were coming home from “The Police” concert. 

i posted this on my uber account so ill use the text i posted there… i hope you enjoy. 

So I finally got film back from the lab, and honestly im kind of disappointed with myself, why? Because it has taken me so long to get my film and then scan them in. plus I don’t think I have taken anything worth showing.

Me and my Talia were on our way home from seeing The Police and Elvis Costello, the show wasn’t one of the best to be honest, the people did not give Elvis Costello the respect he deserved they just sat and clapped… no dancing or anything what the hell is wrong with that. its fucking Elvis Costello… im a fan of The Police but honestly I was not impressed, they just seemed to be going through the actions, trying to make there songs dramatic sounding… I think they just need to retire and not do a reunion tour again.

Anyways the images well we were on our way home from the concert and as we are driving on the freeway we notice this big plume of grey smoke in the air, my wife asks what is that I say lets go check it out. So we drive by and it is a “Fridays” restaurant engulfed in flames. This thing is shooting flames and getting out of control, I guess it was a grease fire that started about 8:45 that evening and was still going till we got there which was about 12:30 that morning…

Honestly it was pretty fun, people were sitting along the streets watching and even the fire fighters, and they had about 5 agencies trying to help put it out… it was something to watch on a otherwise hot and boring summer night.

I tried to catch some shots with my canonet, honestly I think I need a new camera I keep getting overlapping frames, and weird negatives. I used 400 hp5 I believe. shooting at 1/30 of a second.

well finally finishing this blog, its been sitting in my drafts since the other day. 

well i found out the other day i was on the front page of uber, it was a link to my blog about my street photographs. i was pretty stoked.

well i should finish this thing. 

this guy was trying to play that whole im a fire fighter bit. people were trying to ask him questions about the fire but all he kept doing was giving attention to this lady. i thought it was pretty funny. 

here is the place actually on fire. 

this thing was pretty huge, there was the smell of plastic, grease and who else knows in the air. i know me and talia reeked of smoke after we left. 

this is my favorite from the roll, to bad my camera decided to overlap frames. i was trying to get as close as i could without getting in everyones way. my shoes were filled with water at this point, it was crazy cause there was so much water everywhere the streets were filled with water. water was filling everything up. 

we all know how it is here in arizona during the summer everything burns, we burn from the sun, fields burn, and then we see the occasional car or truck on fire like this one… i was sitting in the back of our work truck going out into the field and saw this. this was my one and only frame. 

and more fire trucks on the hot AZ nights. more fire? a accident? who knows.

all i know is the heat makes everyone crazy in the summer months. 

one way to get out of the heat is to go to a brewery and enjoy a nice couple of glasses with friends. but the only bad thing is you end up making self portraits in the mirror. 

and if your unlucky you end up like this guy, drunk and driving home only to be pulled over by the police. should have called a taxi, and saved themselves a headache. ohh well better luck next time. 

well thats it from me for right now, i might go back through the other frames and see if there is anything worth uploading sorry it took so long for me to get this out…
