My bike miles

with one comment

2/10/09 - 5.1 miles.

It was cold, 48 degrees, my first bike ride in awhile. to the bank and just a long ride home.

2/19/09 - 2.3 miles.

was getting late so couldn’t go for a long ride.  got the new brooks seat, its hard and stiff, its putting some pressure on my wrists but i think it will work it out. need to ride more to break this thing in. cant wait to clock more miles.

2/21/09 – 3.4 miles.

coffee run. first time really riding with the new seat, and it was perfect.

2/22/09 –  7.1 miles.

rode to breakfast at the village inn. i had corned beef hash and hash browns and eggs and pancakes. the ride was one of the best i ever had. the seat and handlebars were perfectly dialed in.

2/23/09 – 14 miles.

rode to work, one of the best morning rides i have had in along time. having some trouble with the gears again. but it was alright in second gear. i also rode to the store for a tomato and lettuce. got a smile from a girl in car as she saw passed me in her car.

2/24/09 – 13.6 miles.

the morning rides to work have been so enjoyable and pleasant. even the rides home too. i adjusted the seat up a bit and it rode awesome today!

*since my last post on the 24th of feb also there were miles rode but honestly forgotten.

3/24/09 – 17.6 miles.

i rode into work as always, rode in shorts and tshirt and was a bit cool, i should not be complaining its gong to get hot soon.the road i usually take has been torn apart for repaving. fought with cars and dump trucks, was a bit scary but i made it. after work i rode to get dinner down the rode with talia chloe and darrell, cant beat tuesday night wing night and native new yorker. also saw a car with the words written on it “police impound number” i don’t remember the number. i rode home through the night, and ended up losing my work badge along the way. i rode hard without much coasting. most miles ive done in awhile.

3/25/09 – 16.8 miles.

wore sweater. not much of a change the road to work was completely torn apart, i had to ride on the curb, there is no sidewalk. i wont ride there till the road is fixed. the road was awful. felt like a tire was going to pop. very scary ride i must say. rode to lunch at whataburger. what can i say i wanted a burger. other than that i took a different route home since road was closed. rode down arizona boulevard. saw lots of people riding smiled and rode on. also encountered a section where bike lane was closed. but i still was able to ride through it. felt nice surrounded by caution signs but still able to ride through. im not to sure if thats illegal or not.
